from left to right;
I am afraid to hold my boyfriend’s hand.
My friend’s parents sent her away.
I found death threats in my locker.
I submitted to electroshock therapy.
I lost half my friends after coming out.
My grandmother sends me hate mail.
My school won’t let me take my date to prom.
I am not here anymore.
My dad tried to beat it out of me.
No one is proud of me.
This showed up on my blog again. Forever reblog. The “I am not here anymore.” broke my heart.

I had forgotten the sweetness of imaan, the beauty of dhikr, the love of Allah, everything that had wanted me to come into this deen and become a “practicing Muslim.” Yet little things that Allah shows me renew that memory, and my heart slowly begins to regain power. It’s slow, and I’m still chugging along with life, but I must always remember the sweetness of deen that I have forgotten.

ثم يمسح بهما على رأسه ووجهه وما أقبل من جسده )
“Every country is good for different reasons. They are like different fruits. But Egypt is my favorite. Egypt is like a mango.”
This is the best analogy ever made. It’s so on point.
I love Egypt and the fact that it has the BEST mangoes ever.
Let me stop you right there.
Pakistan has the best mangoes in world.
And that is the universal truth!!

Prophet Mohammad (saww)
“And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire.” [38:27]
98 year old dobri dobrev, a man who lost his hearing in the second world war, walks 10 kilometers from his village in his homemade clothes and leather shoes to the city of sofia, where he spends the day begging for money.
though a well recognized fixture around several of the city’s chruches, known for his prostrations of thanks to all donors, it was only recently discovered that he has donated every penny he has collected — over 40,000 euros — towards the restoration of decaying bulgarian monasteries and churches and the utility bills of orphanages, living entirely off his monthly state pension of 80 euros and the kindness of others.
and now i’m crying.
Visiting people in hospital is an experience that will never fail to amaze me. It doesn’t matter how many times you go, or how many people you visit, every single time without question makes me realise how ungrateful we really are. SubhanAllah, it changes your whole aspect on life each time. No wonder our Prophet(saw) advised us to visit our sick brothers and sisters, the very action in itself is purifying.
May Allah(swt) grant all those who are suffering of illnesses shifaa and cure them and allow us who are healthy and well to be grateful for our health and may He give us all the ability to visit our ill brothers and sisters when they are ill for His sake and His sake only, aameen.
Regardless of what people say or think about you, just remember that the only One you have to please is Allah.
